About Hostel

Albergue

Brothers’ was called after four brothers and friends who have been traveling together and staying in hostels around the world since 1984. They have been dozens of hostels, in Washington, Paris, Santorini, Bangkok, Cusco, Cape Town, Venice, so, one day, because of their passion for traveling, adventure, youth and Rio de Janeiro, they put their efforts together, and now they present the newest vision about Hostels. Congratulations, you are beginning to share this new concept about Hostels. So take your time, this will be really fun and will give you a bunch of stories to tell in the future.

Brothers’ Hostel is near almost everything that is really important and interesting in the city of Rio de Janeiro. As shown in the homepage, it is at 3 minutes walking distance from the beautiful Botafogo Beach , 5 minutes from Parque do Flamengo (we recommend jogging), if you prefer to sweat a little before starting to have fun.

12 minutes from the famous Copacabana Beach. at 3 minutes from the subway station in Flamengo (the best transportation in Rio), at 10 minutes from downtown Rio, the oldest part of the city, where you can visit St. Sebastian Cathedral and St. Benedict Monastery and the tram to St. Theresa. At 20 minutes from Ipanema, with the Two Brothers Mountains at the back, and the most gorgeous girls... Hold on, girls... Boys too.

If you are coming for carnaval, it is at 5 minutes drive fromsambodromo, where you can see the most dazzling celebration of world, and the parades of samba schools. Speaking of dancing, it is at 10 minutes drive by bus or subway from the well known bohemian district of Lapa, where the bars thrill with live music (photo), not to mention the famous arcs built in 1750 (photo).

So, there are hundreds of options, but if you prefer only to pour some beers, Dafoca bar, on the other side of the street, at half a minute walk (photo), is full of students (there are three universities in the area) ready to tell you how a Carioca (the natives from Rio de Janeiro) like to spend their moments and what’s their lifestyle like in the most marvelous city of Brazil.

Inside the Brothers’ Hostel there’s the “Shelter”, a theme bar (photo), with the world at your feet. If you prefer, you may have a tequila or a shot of whisky, but we recommend (with cachasa), a typical Brazilian drink. All this already gives you many options, but, if you want more, click the link Tourism at the Brothers’ Hostel site, there are many more.

If you need to find banks, supermarkets, drugstores, bus stops, subway stations and other facilities, you can find everything you need around the Brothers’ Hostel.

In Brothers Hostel, plus the convenience of transportation and services, for the convenience of our guests, we had the concern of having at most four bunk beds in our rooms.
